ANDREW AND KATE

it happened at night at the train station
andrew and kate liked to go to the mountains
some drunk officer showed up
one can’t tell where he came from
he imposed himself upon kate
a fight broke up
he hit her, andrew hit him harder
suddenly more cops arrived

andrew hung himself in a cell
that could have happened to anybody
if his family had more money
and connections, the problem wouldn’t exist
it was just a mistake
don’t tell me that mistakes happen
you know right what i mean
people have no fucking conscience
